About Me
Hi! I’m Angie Garcia, the potter (and professional cat admirer) behind Catgirl Pottery.

It turns out there’s a serious shortage of cat-themed businesses in the world—which felt like a problem that absolutely needed solving, especially since I live under the loving rule of my orange cats, Peaches and Cream. Starting a cat-centered pottery business was basically inevitable.

I first tried ceramics in middle and high school, then took a long break from clay while life did its thing. A few years ago, I found my way back to a local studio and immediately fell in love all over again—wheel, slip, mess, and all. Before I knew it, I was making pieces I couldn’t stop thinking about selling. Catgirl Pottery was born in 2024, starting with cat wet food plates, cat mugs, and little cat jewelry dishes.
These days, you can usually find me at markets around the Raleigh–Durham, NC area, talking with fellow cat people, trading cat stories, and enthusiastically looking at way too many photos of everyone’s pets.
If you want to see where I’ll be popping up next (or just look at more cats), I’m on Instagram at @catgirlpottery.
